The resort area of Konyaalti is becoming increasingly popular for apartments to rent in Turkey in the Antalya region. It is only a short distance away from the Airport, just 20 -25 minutes by car, and has a long, 7km promenade, lined with beach bars, palm trees and water sports. Since it is also only about 3 km away from the City centre, it is easy to visit and enjoy sophisticated city life that would satisfy even the most discerning traveller from Western Europe.
Antalya city has a population of some 603000 people, which multiplies during the peak holiday season. Antalya is a city that has all the amenities you would expect from top European countries, including top class restaurants, bars, clubs and fine museums. Although a modern city it has also preserved the charm of years gone by in the form of the old town of Kaleiçi, (Kaleici)
Walk down the small cobbled streets, past the Ottoman hotels and guest houses, to the fine harbour where you will be spoilt for choice on boat trips. There are some self catering holidays in Turkey in this old town but many are small with only basic amenities.

The better part of the Konyaalti area lies the beach side of the busy Kemer road and near the river Bogacay. If you find an apartment to rent in Antlaya, Konyaalti, that is near the beach, costs can be higher than those further away on the far side of the Kemer road. There are a couple of 4 and 5 star hotels along this coastline, thus providing an "upmarket" feel to the whole area. Since 2007 some excellent resturants have been opened in the Konyaalti area, near the Sea Life hotel.

are usually centred around the coastal regions of Turkey, the most popular of which are the Aegean and Mediterranean. The Mediterranean coast is a mixture of beaches, history and wildlife with Antalya a popular seaside resort, with nearby historic Roman cities at Perge (78Km) and Side (75Km). Alanya (135Km), further east along the coast, also has fine, clean beaches, whilst Belek (44Km) has the added interest for nature lovers in the sightings of rare turtles and hundreds of bird species. So you can already see, a self catering holiday in Turkey, in the Antalya region, will make for an ideal, independant holiday, full of things to do and places to visit. Travelling from Antalya City westward, you will find the popular resort of Kemer (42Km). This is a purpose built seaside resort, with multitudes of holiday complexes from fine hotels to apartments. Travelling further westward, you will come across Kas (140Km), Fethiye (297Km) a harbour town. Antalya city makes an ideal location from which to visit all these other places of interest.
Further along the coast, you will come to Bodrum, Bitez, Altinkum, Kusadasi, which are all along part of the Aegean Sea resorts.
